YBR beat Blinks 3-2 to win the All-Goa Independence Cup futsal tournament organized by Fabiana's in association with Sirvodem Sports Club at Camp Souza, Navemarg, Camaurlim.
The tournament was conducted in two divisions - Plate Cup and Independence Cup. In the Independence Cup, YBR beat Blinks. YBR started the game aggressively as international striker Karishma Shirvoikar struck thrice while Stessi Cardozo scored a brace.
In the Independence Cup, the winners were awarded a prize of Rs 10,000 while the runners-up received a prize of Rs 8,000. In the Plate Cup, the winners received Rs 6,000 while runners-up bagged Rs 4,000.
Individual prizes: Plate Cup - best goalkeeper - Vanessa D'Sa, best player of the finals - Donea Fernandes, first scorer of the finals - Michel Castanha, emerging player “ Amanda; Independence Cup - best goalkeeper - Josline, best player - Stessi Cardozo, first scorer of the finals - Karishma Shirvoikar.

On the occasion of Independence Day, Fabiana's Sports and Hospitality was launched. Fabiana Fernandes and Griffin Fernandes, the directors of the company, have assured all help for promoting futsal and organizing more tournaments to promote sports.
