Youth of Pidagal scored a hard fought 2-1 victory over Fondegal Sports Club in an evenly contested match and moved into the quarterfinals of United Club of Unjirim Inter-ward football tournament played at Church ground Curtorim. Caji Bogoto scored the first goal in the second minute of the match. Aliston Fernandes consolidated the lead for Pidagal in the 17th minute. Fondegal Sports Club reduced the margin through Aliwart Mascarenhas before the half time whistle. Fondegal put up a brave show in the second half but couldn’t convert the chances. Aliston Fernandes of Youth of Pidagal was rightly judged as the man of the match.
