The St Joseph's Boys Home Old Boys Association will organise the 12th All Goa Rev. Fr. Edward F. Rego Memorial 3-A-Side Tie-Breaker Football Tournament on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 11.00 am onwards at the St Joseph’s High School ground, Calangute.
The champions will receive a cash prize of Rs 30,000 along with a trophy, while the runners-up will take home Rs 20,000 and a trophy. Individual awards will be presented to the Best Shooter and Best Goalkeeper, with surprise prizes lined up for spectators. A grand Housie with attractive prizes will also be a special highlight of the event.
The entry fee for teams is Rs 600, and on-the-spot entries will be accepted.
Association President Allwyn Teles said the traditional tie-breaker tournament draws large numbers of football enthusiasts every year. He added that efforts are being made to make this year’s edition bigger and better to promote football among the youth of Calangute and across Goa.
Rev. Fr. Mariano Silveira, Parish Priest of St Alex Church, Calangute, will be the Chief Guest and bless the opening ceremony. Mr Joseph Sequeira, Sarpanch of Calangute Village, will attend as Chief Guest for the prize distribution and closing ceremony at 6.00 pm, while Mr Daniel Lobo, Sarpanch of Parra Village Panchayat, will be the Guest of Honour. Members of the Calangute Panchayat are also invited to grace the occasion.
The day-long football extravaganza is free and open to all football lovers across Goa.
