Curtorim Gymkhana stormed into the quarterfinals after registering a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Uguem Rising Club in the 32nd Lourdes Festival All-Goa Inter-Village Football Tournament at Utorda.
The tournament is organised by United Club of Utorda in association with the Sports Authority of Goa.
Uguem took the lead in the 16th minute through Aswin Menezes, giving his side a 1-0 advantage at halftime.
After the break, Curtorim Gymkhana came out attacking. James Fernandes equalised from the penalty spot, while Lloyd Antao netted the winner in the dying minutes to seal a thrilling comeback victory.
James Fernandes of Curtorim Gymkhana was adjudged Man of the Match and received the award from chief guest Anthony Rodrigues.
