PANAJI
A day of tight defensive performances saw both matches in the Goa Pro League end in goalless draws on Sunday.

At the Raia Panchayat Ground, Geno FC held former champions Dempo SC to a 0-0 draw in a match that saw few clear-cut chances but plenty of midfield battles. Arnold Antonio Oliveira, Dempo’s central midfielder, was adjudged Player of the Match for his commanding presence in the middle and ability to break up Geno’s rhythm.

Geno, coached by Francisco Jose Bruto Da Costa, maintained shape and discipline throughout, while Remus Damiao Gomes’ Dempo side pushed for a winner late on but couldn’t break the deadlock.

Over at the Duler Stadium, Sesa Football Academy and Sporting Clube de Goa also settled for a 0-0 draw, despite some promising moments in attack. Sesa, under Jason Dmelo, showed flashes of their potential, while Sporting, led by Francisco Savio Vaz, were denied by a couple of fine saves and last-ditch defending.

Next up, Chapora Yuvak Sangh SC take on FC Goa at Duler Stadium on Monday at 4 pm, in what promises to be another competitive encounter in the ongoing league.
