The Goa Cricket Association-organized Goa Premier Division League began on Saturday with the first round of matches. All five league rounds in this competition will consist of three-day matches each.

On the opening day at Bandodkar Ground, Geno Sports Club were bowled out for 237 runs. In reply, Chougule Sports Club reached 38 for 1. At the NAPEX Ground, Panjim Gymkhana posted 259 all out in their first innings, while Margao Cricket Club were 23 for 1 at the end of the day. At the GCA Ground in Sanguem, Salgaocar Cricket Club dominated proceedings, reaching 363 for 5 against Dempo Sports Club.

At Bandodkar Ground, Campal, Geno SC's Manish Kakode (62) and Vikas Singh (51) scored half-centuries. For Chowgule, Shubham Desai took 3 wickets for 78 runs, while Shubham Tari, Darshan Misal, and Felix Alemão claimed 2 wickets each.

At NAPEX Ground, Panjim Gymkhana's Soham Panvalkar scored a brilliant century, making 102 runs off 154 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes. Deep Kasvankar (48) and Ishan Gadekar (42) also contributed well. For MCC, off-spinner Rudresh Sharma took 4 wickets for 97 runs, while Heramb Parab and Anuj Yadav picked up 3 wickets each.

At the GCA Ground in Sanguem, centuries from Ayush Verlekar (114 not out) and Yogesh Kauthankar (110), along with a half-century by Azaan Thota, helped Salgaocar CC post a massive total. They will aim to add another 70-80 runs on the second day. For Dempo, Rahul Mehta took 2 wickets, while Saniket Palkar, Abhinav Tejrana, and Aaditya Kota took one wicket each.
