MES College to clash against DMC Assagao in final

MES Vasant Joshi College of Arts & Commerce, Zuarinagar defeated Government College of Arts Science and Commerce (GCASC) Khandola by 7 wickets to enter the final of Goa University Inter Collegiate Cricket Championship 2023-24 for Women at Goa University Cricket Ground, Taleigao.

The toss was won by Government College Khandola who elected to bat first.

Government College Khandola posted 75/6 in 15 overs.

Simran Naik 18(21) and Minakshi Agalikeri 10*(17) put up a decent score for their side. Priya Gupta (2/05) and Pooja Yadav (1/11) were economical with their bowling for MES College.

In reply, MES Vasant Joshi College of Arts & Commerce, Zuarinagar chased down the target in 12.2 overs.

Pooja Yadav 38(37) and Harshada Kadam 9(12) led the chase for Zuarinagar.

Sanjana Palkar (2/14) and Simran Naik (1/18) were the pick of bowlers of Khandola College.

In the second semi-final, Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao won by 102 runs against Goa College of Engineering .

The toss was won by Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College who elected to bat first.

Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College scored 173/0 in 15 overs thanks to an excellent opening partnership between Mitali Gawander 83*(52) and Tanaya Naik 67*(44).

In reply, Goa College of Engineering, Farmagudi could only amass 71/7 in 15 overs.

Riya Naik 18(21), Ivneet Kaur 10(23) were the top scorers for GEC.

Tanaya Naik (4/10) and Rida Shaikh (2/8) restricted their opponents from Farmagudi.

The final will be played on April 1.
