Achilles Fernandes of Raia Sporting receives the Man of the Match award.

Raia Sporting booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Curtorim Villagers Cup 2025, organised by Curtorim Gymkhana, with a narrow 2-1 victory over FC Siolim at St Alex Church Ground, Curtorim on Sunday.
Raia Sporting struck early when Achilles Fernandes found the net in the 12th minute, giving his side a 1-0 lead. FC Siolim created chances of their own but failed to make them count.
In the second half, Raia doubled their advantage as Fernandes once again showed his finishing touch, scoring his second goal in the 40th minute. Siolim, however, responded quickly with Pushparaj Mandrekar pulling one back in the 42nd minute, setting up a tense finish. Despite late pressure, Raia held firm to seal the win.
For his brace, Achilles Fernandes of Raia Sporting was adjudged Man of the Match. The award was presented by Anthony Fernandes, former President of Curtorim Gymkhana, and Fr Vicky Hilario, Assistant Director of Fr Agnel Ashram, Verna.
