CAMPUS | GDP School holds orientation at Goa College of Home Science

PANAJI: An orientation programme of the GDP School for Social Entrepreneurship was held at Goa College of Home Science, Campal, on January 16. The initiative aimed to open new pathways for students in social impact and enterprise.

The session was chaired by Officiating Principal Dr Mahesh Pai and coordinated by Internship Nodal Officer Dr Nadisha Coelho. Students from Food and Nutrition, Textiles and Fashion Studies, Human Development, and other departments attended.

Managing Trustee Kishore Shah encouraged participants to explore opportunities in rural value chains, grassroots innovation and export-oriented ventures. VO SHG representative Reema Velusker and HR consultant Parag Velusker shared field experiences on community work, microenterprises and livelihood creation.

GDP School said Panaji is being considered for its fourth campus. The programme, approved by the Directorate of Higher Education, will be offered as a two-credit internship, giving students structured entrepreneurial exposure.
