PANAJI: The Karnataka & Goa NCC Directorate held the Deputy Director General felicitation ceremony on Wednesday, February 4, 2025, after winning the Prime Minister’s Banner at the Republic Day Camp. The programme took place at Jyoti Nivas Autonomous College in Bengaluru.
Officers, ANOs, PI staff, cadets, civil staff, champion groups and institutions were honoured with DDG commendations and trophies. The awards recognised their discipline, teamwork and contribution to the achievement.
Holy Cross High School, Bastora received the second runner-up trophy for best institution in NCC in the Karnataka & Goa Directorate. The award was presented by DDG Air Commodore Bevinmarad Arunkumar. Headmistress Sr Wendy Sequeira and Associate NCC Officer Second Officer Christa Cardoso accepted it on behalf of the school. It is the first time that a school from Goa has received this honour.
The ceremony highlighted the directorate’s focus on encouraging excellence and national pride among youth through NCC activities.
