CAMPUS | Shirgao school holds drug abuse awareness talk

Shirgao: An awareness talk on drug abuse was held at Government High School, Shirgao, under the 30 Days Drug Awareness Campaign, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority, North Goa.

Resource persons Dr Aniket Redkar, PSI Rashmik Parab Matonkar, advocate Sushma Vantekar and legal in-charge Diksha Bhaip Gawade addressed the students. They spoke about the harmful effects of drug abuse, the legal consequences of drug-related offences, and the importance of making healthy life choices.

A short awareness video was screened during the programme. Students also took a pledge to stay away from drugs. The session saw active participation from students and staff and was appreciated for creating awareness. Headmaster Satish Talkar, along with the staff and students, was present for the programme.
