Dwindling harvest leads to hike in prices of vegetables

The scorching summer heat has further affected the supply of vegetables, whose harvests seem to be dwindling every passing day.

  That being said, wholesale rates of most vegetables seems to have remained the same as compared to last week. 
   Others, like cauliflower, capsicum, beans and coriander have have shot up considerably. 
   For example, rate of beans for 10 kilos was Rs 700 and the same has shot up to Rs 1,000. 
   Rates of vegetables like capsicum Rs 320 (250), coriander Rs 1,200 (1,000), spinach Rs 300 (250), beet Rs 320 (220) and a few other vegetables have also seen an increase this week.
