Retired 17 years ago from the Directorate of Archives in Government of Goa, the elderly Sayad Manzoor seems proud to see his 37-year-old son excel in his business that began at the very same time he retired and which has reached a level very few could achieve “ all within a decade-and-a-half. Referring to the Top Solutions Seller Award bagged by his son’s company, Jamsons Computers Private Limited from Dell Champions Conclave for outstanding performance and lasting contributions in 2016-17, the proud father exclaims, “It’s all because of the hard work that my son, Muzaffar put in and his strong willpower to achieve success in whatever he does.” But is this is not the only award Jamsons has received so far. Over the years Jamsons has pocketed many more, too.
But though the father rightly admires his son, a humbled Muzaffar Kadri, CEO and Managing Director of Jamsons, prefers to keep a low profile. Recalling his humble beginning 15 years ago Muzaffar admits to have witnessed a gradual progress before Jamsons became one of the leading players in the industry.
“We, at Jamsons, boast of having a base of thousands of happy clients in Goa. This is because of our convergence of proactive, result oriented professionals with unified goals that Jamsons has managed to share a unique bond with its consumers and clients,” agrees Muzaffar who believes that the
victory of every progressive organisation depends on the individuals who make up its core-strength. Indeed, it was he who with his extraordinary skills and foresight excelled and brought Jamsons to where it is today but it’s his team too.
“Our solutions encompass numerous products and service avenues in retail distribution of renowned computing brands, business intelligence products, enterprise resource planning and development applications, unique business application software, retail distribution of mobile and android products and their applications and beyond,” explains Muzaffar. Currently Jamsons is an established implementation partner with companies such as Dell, Lenovo, Tally, Oppo, Apple, Lava and numerous such brands for Goa.

Jamsons has its Dell exclusive stores in Panaji, Margao, Vasco and Ponda, and Lenovo exclusive store in Margao while the mobile and multi-brand stores spread in major cities in Goa. Muzaffar is vocal about his plans to add three more mobile stores to its already existing four - Panaji, St Inez, Ponda and Vasco. Three new stores will come up at Margao, Calangute and Mapusa. It’s three multi-brand stores at Panaji and one each in Margao and Mapusa are already operating well.
Ask him how he manages to run so many parallel stores and Muzaffar smiles. “I have an expert team in place to take care of the expanding business affairs. We being an independent technology service provider in computing, communications and social media, dealing effective with software development, application development, website design, cloud computing and software installations comes easy to us.”
Interesting to note, started in 2002 Jamsons Enterprises and its associate company Jamsons Computers Pvt Ltd offer technically proactive products, smart resources and quality services in information technology and telecommunications segments and Jamsons Technologies offers web designing, web development, e-commerce, web hosting and mobile app development.

At Jamsons Technologies, we have experts in digital and interactive communications, specialising in maximising business potential through strategic, creative and innovative use of the internet and digital media technologies,” briefs Muzaffar.
But why does any business need a website? “The reasons are many - small businesses get credibility, it saves money and time, one can build a base of well-informed customers, it’s easily accessible, one can target wider market, it’s a medium to showcase your work and it allows to offer improved customer service,” he explains.
Jamsons also deal with an easy point of sale (EasyPOS) and Inventory Billing Reports Reservation. Easy POS is a powerful point of sales software designed for customer hospitality. The customer can select the desired table as per his/her wish. Various reports can be generated to keep track of the order products warehouses, catalogue and inventory. The sale and profitability of a restaurant can be increased through accurate cost analysis and menu pricing. Automating all departments of the restaurant and business allows making prior bookings for birthdays, anniversaries and other occasions.
Believing that a strong IT and Telecom platform forms the core of any successful organisation in today’s modern era, Jamsons enables its clients to outperform the competition. Known for the innovation and work excellence, teamwork and commitment as well as quality products and efficient services, clients have named Jamsons as the market leader offering cost effective solutions.
“In IT we deal on three formats,” briefs Muzaffar. Jamsons is the sole distributor for Del (10 years) and for Lenovo (5 years) and Tally (11 years) covering 70 per cent of the business in Goa. There are four exclusive Del showrooms and one for Lenovo. There are three multi-brand stores and three more to come. Covering government sectors, private corporate, hospitality and educational institutions, Jamsons has ventured into software business two years ago.
“We have an expert team operating from Bangalore to develop personalised software for hotels, hospitals, spas and real estate developers. We cater to entire Goa as well as neighbouring upcoming small cities like Hubli and Belgaum. In Tally our dedicated team of experts cater to client demand and requisitions. We offer CAS professional training and onsite services to 600-odd clients,” shares Muzaffar. Jamsons deal with Dell, Lenovo and Asus laptops, ACT CAO and Tally Solutions and customised software apart from the regular SOL, Oracle, Sybase, My Sql, FoxPro, SAP, MS Dynamics, EQP Systems.
“We ventured into telecommunications business in 2013. Here we work on two formats “ distribution and retail,” explains Muzaffar. Jamsons is the sole distributor for Apple providing products to 500 dealers in Goa. It is also the sole distributor for Oppo and Lava and sells accessories in Philips. In retail, they deal with all types of brands - LYF, Vivo, Asus, Philips, Samsung, Apple, Appo, Lenovo, Lava etc. Each of their stores in Panaji, Ponda and Vasco has a clientele of its own. Looking at the overwhelming response Jamsons is planning to extend its services in Margao, Calangute and Mapusa by opening out separate stores here.
Looking back Muzaffar recalls his schooling in Don Bosco, Panaji and engineering from Hubli. After getting a campus placement in a company in Mumbai, he did his first job for 15 days before he called it a day. No longer interested in working as an employee, he started off as a service technician which allowed him to be his own boss. It was Standard Chartered Bank where he offered his services in Goa. His ambitious dreams compelled him to enter business soon after. “My brief stint with Stand Chart ignited in me a spirit to start something on my own. I was the first generation entrepreneur in my family. My father was in government service. I had no background of business. But I worked hard and was determined. It paid off,” shares this enthusiastic youth who does not want to stop where he is now.
What next? “Jamsons will enter into home and office automation sector now. We wish to create job opportunities and generate trainees. The demand will go up in the near future and we should be equipped with manpower. Hence Jamsons has taken up skill enhancement projects for rural youth with the help of Goa government,” he expresses.
