Lakaki Dry Cleaners & Art Dyers, Goa, has won the CST & Solar Cooker Excellence Award 2016 for effectively using CST (Concentrated Solar Thermal) system for Process Heart Application in their industrial establishment.
Addressing a press conference, co-owner of Lakaki, Shweta Naik Dalal said the award has been instituted by the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy of the Government of India and was presented by the Minister for Power, Coal & NRE, Piyush Goyal at the national workshop on concentrating solar technologies & solar cookers on 29 April in New Delhi.
Dalal said CST technology was installed at their plant in Margao in November 2014 and was inaugurated by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on 14 February 2015.
Dalal claimed this is their first such project in Goa.
Lakaki owner Venkatesh Naik Dalal and co-owner Vinit Naik Dalal were also present for the press conference.
