Mercedes overtakes Audi in sales

Mercedes-Benz sold 13,502 units in India last year as compared with 10,201 units in 2014, a significant jump of 32 per cent vs Audi, who reported 11,192 units in India for 2015 losing its leadership position to its German rival

* Audi has, nevertheless, booked a 3.14 per cent growth over the previous year

* In 2014, Audi had sold 10,851 units in the country, in comparison to Mercedes' 10,201 units, to retain its leadership position and BMW India sold 6,812 units

* Audi has launched 10 products in India last year, including the limited edition Audi R8 LMX and all new Audi TT Coupe

* The company also introduced Audi S5 Sportback and the all-new Audi Q7 during the year

Lockheed Martin looks at increasing investment in India

Visakhapatnam US-based defence major Lockheed Martin on Monday showed optimism about the recent liberalisation of India's FDI policy in the sector while sighting at increasing investments in the country.
