PANAJI: Guardian Angel High School felicitated its sepaktakraw girls’ team during the farewell function for SSC students. Players Valarie Peixoto, Vea Costa, Melini Pereira, Seema Mulla and Jagruti Shelke were recognised by the headmaster for winning the state-level sepaktakraw championship for three consecutive years ” 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26. Manager Thomas Gonsalves, assistant headmistress Digna Dias and physical education teachers Arvind Chavan and Astrid Colaco were present. The programme began with a Eucharistic celebration. Seville Antao, manager of St Anthony High School, Monte de Guirim, and director of Assisi Music Academy, was the main celebrant. Headmaster Richard Crasto and manager Thomas Gonsalves were co-celebrants. In his homily, Antao spoke about the uncertainty of life and asked students to keep hope, remain thankful and value their school memories.
Addressing the gathering, Crasto asked the outgoing students to follow three words ” please, sorry and thank you ” and said these would guide them in life. He told the students that the school would continue to support them.
A cultural programme presented by students of Std. IX followed the formal function.
