Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s worries aren’t over with the rehabilitation of five of the eight ex-Congress entrants into his BJP fold. There are three more heavyweights -- former Chief Minister Digambar Kamat, Aleixo Sequeira and former Opposition Leader Michael Lobo -- who he needs to slot in the top-heavy treasury benches.
According The party cadre and the BJP State President, Sadanand Shet Tanavde, is said to have ultimately agreed to the induction of just one of the three into the CM’s team. Who among the Kamat-Sequeira-Lobo troika of heavyweights will eventually make the cut is thus far a closely guarded secret. Even our tweeting, feathered friend has been unable to throw any light, despite multiple sorties to the ‘Mahalaxmi’ garden.
It is also yet unknown as to when this will happen and Sawant has been struggling to come up with the choice of who among his current 11 colleagues he will axe to make way in his cabinet.
