The boys play daily overlooked by DavidD’souza. The quality of the training can be assessed by the fact that five boyshave moved on to the Sesa Football academy. Sashant Ashvekar is another playerwho has come from these ranks and now plays with professional clubs in thestate.

I, personally sponsor the club. As the owner of a holidayresort, I use the profits that are generated to run the club. Growing up, Iplayed the game with a passion and was a pretty good player but the absence oftraining facilities was an impediment in my progress. I had decided then thatif I reached a certain position in life I would do everything to promote and train young talent. We have kidscoming from all over to train. We have not participated in any inter-villagetournaments though we do participate in GFA tournaments. We were in the seconddivision but dropped to the third division. We will be back there soon. We havea great coach and a bunch of boys who are talented and determined to make amark in football.

James Fernandes
