President: Melwin Fernandes

Coach: Cruz Pereira and William D Mello

The St Mathews sports Club is focused on providing aplatform for the boys of Neura, Azossim, Mandur and Carambolim to improve theirskills in football, volleyball and cricket. The football team was in the seconddivision for five years and slipped into the third division last season.  The football team has been a starting pointfor several players who have gone on to play in professional teams like SesaGoa.

For the past 15 years, Franciz Silveira used to sponsor us.He used to provide us money to organize tournaments, kits, training sessionsand generally help us a lot with the club. Now with a MLA we hope thissponsorship will continue. We spend Rs. 15,000 every year on football itself. In addition we have other activities too.  Without a sponsor we would have a lot ofproblems. We participate in village tournaments and organize tournaments too. Wewould like to get back to the second division this year and that is our focus. We have to team in place and we are confident.
