Natwarlal Sakharam Sirvant, runs his father's over 100 yearold Sirvont Bros shop in the Cuncolim Market. His is a grocery shop. For thelast thirty five years Natwarlal, also known as Notu , begins his day at sevenam by cleaning his shop and later cleans the Christ The King Shrine locatedbeside his shop.

"For me religion doesn't really matter. I respect allGods as I believe we face them all one day in heaven. I never open my shopbefore cleaning the Christ the King shrine besides my shop. It would bedisrespectful to ignore the statue," asserts Notu. Notu has faced thebrunt and insults from a lot of Hindus for cleaning the statue and shrine areadaily but he continues to do it and is treated with great respect across thevillage of Cuncolim.
