Goa’s Vigilance Department is in receipt of a lot ofcomplaints related to corruption and irregularities in the PWD, confirmsVigilance Department Chief Bosco George. The Goan, after its’ lead interviewwith PWD Minister Sudin Dhavlikar where he had stated that his Department hadfiled multiple complaints with Vigilance Department and it is only after thesecomplaints were investigated that FIRs would be registered.
“We are investigating these complaints case by case and onlyafter the inquiry is over will we be filing charges. The FIR happens next”confirms SP George. The department has been sifting through reams of documentsthat include work orders, department notings etc. that had been handed over toit after PWD’s own internal inquiries revealed irregularities.
PWD Minister Dhavlikar has been on record stating that hehas taken serious note of The Goan’s expose that cracked some of the majorirregularities that have happened during the last Government. However, thedelay in booking the culprits of the case is raising eyebrows.
