The feast of our Lady of Bethlehem and The Three Kings feast was celebrated in a traditional way on January 6 at Chandor. This year the 3 young boys from the village chosen as the Three Kings were Merv Lino Antao (Amblimoll), Meshwin Gomes (Guirdolim) and Jason Fernandes (Culsabhat). The Three Kings are crowned and dressed as kings and come riding horses from Mount hill Chapel towards Nossa Senhora de Belem Church, Chandor with gifts in their hands, along with people and our traditional brass band. I was happy to see young kids taking our traditional brass band forward - As seen in the picture, the young girl playing the saxophone is Faye Palma Andrade while the young boy playing the drum is Venom Ro Andrade from Cotta, Chandor, Goa.
