Two major threats that will ruin our country in the coming days - corruption and communalism. The latter has started looking more dangerous for the common man. Just recently, we remembered Mahatma Gandhi for his freedom struggle. We weren't gifted freedom to see these new types of violence and corruption. Gandhi would have felt ashamed had he been alive today. In 2014, the BJP zoomed to power after it gained momentum from the India Against Corruption movement launched against Congress-led UPA. But let's have a look at corruption after 2014. Modi sarkar's main aim was corruption-free India but analysing the situation we hear there have been massive scams across India - Vyapam scam, PDS Rice, NULM scam, Maharashtra scam, demonetisation, new highways, smart cities, government jobs, tenders, defence deals, all have been said to carve the way for high level corruption. Only the faces have changed. The common man still pays a heavy ransom for a government job or tender even though he is well qualified. There is corruption everywhere - from small and big officers to MP and ministers.
Another development seen soon after the new government was formed is the rise in communal politics. No doubt previous governments played with Indians, but the amount of hatred politics has peaked. Shameful acts like ghar wapsi, lynching, alteration of history books, hate speeches, etc have escalated. Living in such a huge country with multiculturalism along with numerous religions followed should make an individual broad-minded. If leaders start playing communal politics they will only end up ruining the fabric of peace and harmony in the country. People should come together to fight these leaders, stand united against both communalism and corruption and uphold justice for all mankind.
