Ishtann, Siolim cooking school launched

Panjim: The fifth edition of the best seller Ishtann (inEnglish) was recently released by Padmashri Maria Aurora Couto. The event, heldat Little Siolim, a boutique resort in Siolim also saw the formal launch ofSiolim Cooking School by Varun Sood, managing partner and co-founder of CapventIndia Advisors Pvt Ltd and Lucie Masson, founder of the School. Written by latePadma Mahalé and translated from the original Konkani version by SapnaSardessai, Ishtann (meaning, friendly food) is a collection of traditionalSaraswat recipes and other recipes that are popular with the Goan Hindus. Therecipes in ‘Ishtann’ range from basic masalas to curries, rice dishes, breadsand desserts. Over twenty five new recipes have been added in this latestedition, from Padma Mahale’s handwritten collection, further to requestsreceived from many parts of India and abroad.

Goa Pavillion a resounding success at IITF- Delhi

Panjim: The Goa Pavillion at the India International TradeFair, New Delhi was favourite among the large number of visitors at PragatiMaidan. The creative concept and design of the stall attracted wide-spreadattraction from trade visitors and ambassadors, with huge crowds flocking theGoa Pavillion for information and interactions. The pavillion depicted designelements reflective of the Goan architectural style, embodying attributes thatare old-worldly, yet progressive. The Pavillion has been erected on two levels:a ground floor area with a staircase leading up to a sitting area.

Tata Nano launches special edition

Panjim: Tata Nano has launched the Nano Special Edition,with a bouquet of new features “ stylish exteriors, new utilities andinfotainment. New Alloy Wheels and sportier brand new decals make sure that theNano stands out. A first among all hatchbacks, two glove boxes, one on thepassenger side and the other on the driver’s side has been added to the car. Astylish audio system with MP3, USB, Aux-in and front two door speakers has alsobeen added to the interiors. The Tata Nano Special Edition is available at thesame price.
