As a student of standard 12, Zelma’s potential was spottedby a school teacher who instructed her on how best to go about getting thingsdone, and pursuing that particular field, as that was her calling.

From then on, the rest was virtually history as she set outon an adventure of her own. “I was placed at Bhopal to be trained, and I spenttwo years there. They were very formative, and I developed sharper skillsthere,” says Zelma.

Having returned to Goa after her training stint in Bhopal,Zelma went on to train with the Taj in Sinquerim as part of her course work.From there, she moved on to Club Mahindra Holidays for a short spell beforeeventually moving to what is literally her home now, Cidade de Goa.

Pereira believes, “Above all, I love the fact that Iinteract with people and find out what they really want, and manage to put thaton a plate before them.”
