A balance of quality and pricing

GOURI JOSHI

Gail Devers says, “Keep your dreams alive. Understand that to achieve anything requires faith and belief in your vision, hardwork, determination and dedication. Remember, all things are possible for those who believe”. That is the exact definition of  Rajat Bakre, the brain behind ‘Q 4 Tasty.’ With an IHM degree up his sleeve and experience of working with an international fast food brand,  Rajat gave up his job and took off to Pune and Mumbai to meet people to learn more about the cafe’ business.

He returned from Mumbai in 2015, and set up the pure-veg cafe, ‘Q 4 Tasty.’   in his hometown of marcel.  The  offbeat and catchy name reflects Rajat’s love for his mother-tongue Marathi. A year later, Rajat, along with his partner Abhay Kumar, started another venture named ‘Parcelkar’ which focuses on non-veg food.

I Decided to try one dish each from both is ventures, and started off with a large double chicken pizza and a cabbage manchurian and garlic cheese toast to munch.  The toast was crisp and cheezy with dash of garlic toppings which added just that right amount of spice to the crisp slice. The double chicken thin crust pizza too was delicious with chunks of chicken and generous helping of cheese melting on the crust. The taste and price of the pizza could easily give bigger brands  a run for their money.

The cabbage manchurian was cooked in schezwan sauce made by Rajat himself, and had a unique taste that was incomparable with manchurian variations I had tried elsewhere. I would certainly recommend tasting the manchurian here for the special schezwan sauce. THe combined menu of the two establishments offers a wide range of grilled sandwiches, pastas, pizzas, soups, cutlets and mocktails at a very reasonable rate, and they mainly cater to office-going crowds and youngsters. Service is quick, and staff is friendly. The goal of the owner is to provide the best quality food at prices that people from all walks of life can afford. A third venture by Rajat, named Master Mind offers catering services for various occasions.
