Vasco police have registered a case against a Curchorem resident for allegedly raping and assaulting a woman at a resort in Bogmalo. According to sources, a Zero FIR was received from Curchorem police based on a complaint stating that the incident took place on June 9, at the resort in Bogmalo. The complainant alleged that the accused, identified as Sarvar Khan, of Curchorem, raped her and later physically assaulted her by hitting her on the face.
Following the transfer of the case, Vasco police registered an FIR under Sections 64 and 115(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. The investigation is currently being carried out by PSI Archana Gaonkar of Vasco police station under the supervision of PI Vaibhav Naik and guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
