Digital & financial literacy workshop empowers senior citizens

PANAJI: YUVA Panaji, in collaboration with the Directorate of Social Welfare, organised a one-day digital and financial literacy workshop for 70 senior citizens at Sanquelim. Sulakshana Sawant, chairperson of Padmini Foundation, encouraged seniors to pursue their interests and stay socially active.

Shashikant Narvekar briefed participants on government welfare schemes. Sessions covered online safety, financial fraud awareness and preventive healthcare by Dr Tanmayee Kerkar. Activities included Kokedama plant-making and exercises for kinetic and mental skills. The event was compered by Saee Chodankar, with Vaman Sankhalker proposing the vote of thanks.
