PANAJI: The Ex-NCC Cadets Association-Goa has urged the Goa government to convert the existing structure opposite Kala Academy in Panaji into a permanent War Memorial to honour Goa’s defence martyrs. Former Association president John Aguiar said the site has historical importance as Kargil Vijay Diwas has been observed there for more than 20 years. He proposed installing a reversed rifle with a soldier’s helmet, an internationally recognised symbol honouring fallen soldiers.
