Newly elected Goa Barge Owners Association President Mayur Parsekar on Saturday pledged to work towards the sustainable growth of Goa's barge industry.
Expressing gratitude for the confidence reposed in him, Parsekar said he is committed to working tirelessly to safeguard the interests of barge owners across Goa and address the challenges facing the sector.
Speaking after his election, Parsekar said his immediate focus would be on strengthening the association and fostering greater unity among its members. He emphasised the need for collective efforts to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of Goa’s barge industry.
Parsekar also highlighted the importance of addressing key issues affecting barge owners and assured members that their concerns would be taken up with the relevant authorities.
He said the association would continue to work towards creating a more secure and prosperous future for the State’s barge sector.
