CANACONA: Shree Parshuram Temple at Poinguinim, Canacona will celebrate Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti on Sunday, April 19, with a series of religious and cultural programmes. The celebrations will begin in the morning with a grand procession of Lord Parshuram through the villages of Poinguinim, Mashem and Loliem, culminating at the temple in the afternoon, followed by Maha Aarti and Mahaprasad. In the evening, a Chakri Kirtan will be presented by young artistes, including H.B.P. Shivani Vaze, Pavan Pai Khot, Samiksha Kurtikar, Suvarna Borkar and Ishwari Kandolkar. The programme will conclude with Aarti and Vasant Puja at night. The event is being organised with support from the Department of Information & Publicity and the Tourism Department, Government of Goa, and curated by Deepa Creations. Devotees have been invited to attend in large numbers.
