VM Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar, marked the start of the new semester on Thursday with a motivational session titled “New Semester, New Mindset.” Organised by the NSS Cell in collaboration with the Susegado Strike Team, the programme aimed to inspire students to begin the term with discipline, focus, and a positive mindset. Faculty members, students, and sports enthusiasts attended the event.

Goan boxing champion Pralhad Panda, a nine-time State champion and Goa’s first professional boxing titleholder, was the key speaker. He shared lessons from his sporting journey, stressing the importance of discipline, resilience, and mental strength in achieving success both inside and outside the ring. His story encouraged students to apply the same determination to their academic goals.

The session also featured Kailas “The Iron Flash” Gauns, a young boxer known for his rigorous training routine and rising reputation in the Goan boxing circuit. His commitment and drive offered further motivation to students. Former boxer and Susegado Strike Team Co-Founder Clyde Lobo spoke about the team’s events and highlighted the strict systems in place to ensure fair and transparent competition. The Susegado Strike Team announced its upcoming event, Fight Night 4.0, scheduled for December 20, with early bird tickets available on the Zomato app.
