MARGAOPolitical commentator and former MLA Adv Radharao Gracias will release his novel titled 'A Shortcut to Tipperary' published by Broadway Publishing House, at the hands of Dr Jason Keith Fernandes at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, on August 27 at 4 pm. Addressing the media, Radharao said, “as someone who has been in the thick of the struggles, to maintain our socio-cultural and linguistic identity, down the decades, I feel lost as the emerging situation overwhelms us. We can see our aspirations and values being blown away by rough winds and our people preferring to go with the flow rather than resist. So, for me, it is a farewell to activism and politics as I move into new avenues." He said the cover is designed and the illustrations are drawn by the bright young artist Norman Tagore and the book is edited by Alexandre Barbosa Moniz. “The novel took some research and time to complete. It begins in Bombay among Goan immigrants, travels to Goa where most of the action takes place in the villages of Majorda, Betalbatim and Nuvem,” he said.
