The Directorate of Social Welfare has invited applications from the students for scholarship under Post Matric Scholarship to SC/OBC/EBC. The eligibility criteria for the schemes being that SC student family income shall not exceed Rs 2.50 lakh pa; for OBC Rs 1.50 lakh pa and for EBC Rs 1 lakh pa. Financial Assistance will be provided in the form of Course fees, Maintenance allowance/Academic allowance depending on the type of courses. Under Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC/OBC financial assistance will be provided to SC students from standard V to VIII Rs 3,575 pa & Students of Standard IX to X Rs 4,125 pa & for OBC students for standard V to VIII Rs 2,475 pa & standard IX to X Rs 3,025 pa will be provided. Eligibility criteria for the scheme is for SC students whose income shall not exceed Rs 1.20 lakhs pa and for students studying in std IX & std X Rs 2.50 lakh pa, for OBC Rs1.50 lakh pa. In order to apply for the scholarship, the students are required to visit the scholarship portal on www.swportal.goa.gov.in and apply with proper documents as required under scheme. Last date to apply for the scheme is December 15 and College/ Schools shall forward the applications by December 20
