PANAJI: In a bid to enhance engagement and draw people to the mega human chain planned on May 20 for ‘Mhadei Amchi Mai’ festival, the organisers are promoting an educational walk to create awareness on river conservation along the banks of the Mandovi in the capital city on Sunday.
Curated by ‘Plant walks Goa’, a group dedicated to promoting education, culinary use of wild food and creating environmental and traditional folk medicine, the walk will commence from the Miramar beach from 7.30 to 8.30 am.
Participants will be introduced to plantlife and flora along the Mandovi or ‘Mhadei’ river banks and will be led by Dr Maryanne Lobo, co-founder of ‘Plant walks Goa’.
