Valpoi Forest Department and Brahmakarmali villagers come together for a cleanliness drive and planting initiative under LIFE lifestyle for environmental initiative
Valpoi Forest Department, in collaboration with Brahmakarmali villagers, conducted a cleanliness drive and planting initiative at Brahmakarmali spring near Brahmadev temple. This initiative is a part of LIFE lifestyle for environmental initiative, which aims to encourage a lifestyle that focuses on mindful and deliberate utilization of resources and aims to change the present 'use and dispose of' consumption habits.
The main objective of this initiative is to encourage individuals to adopt simple changes in their daily life that can contribute to preventing climate change. The Valpoi Forest Department and Brahmakarmali villagers took this initiative to plant medicinal plants in the area, which will not only help in beautifying the surroundings but also promote a healthier environment.
During the cleanliness drive, the volunteers collected waste and garbage that had accumulated in the area. The planting initiative saw the volunteers plant a variety of medicinal plants, which will add to the existing flora of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, the spokesperson for the Valpoi Forest Department said, "This initiative is aimed at bringing about a positive change in the environment by encouraging people to adopt a lifestyle that is environmentally friendly. We are grateful to the Brahmakarmali villagers for their participation in this initiative, and we hope that this will inspire more people to join us in our efforts to create a healthier planet."
