The S G Balekundri Institute of Technology (SGBIT) at Belagavi conducted a student induction programme for students admitted to the first year. SGBIT Chairman Dr F V Manavi presided over the function on Tuesday, while noted entrepreneur Dr N B Rajeev Rao, his holiness Dr Allamaprabhu Mahaswamiji and Naganuru Shree Rudraximath were also present.
In his welcome address Principal Dr B R Patagundi briefed about the academic excellence achieved by the institute. “A large number of students from Goa, Karnataka and Maharashtra have successfully pursued their education here and are doing well in India and abroad,” Dr Patgundi said.
Dr Rajeev Rao motivated the students to set a goal before entering any professional courses and also told that dreams are not those which are seen in the night but dreams are those which are seen in consciousness. “We should always chase the dreams and reach the goals,” he said. Dr Manvi and Dr Allamprabhu Swamiji also spoke on the occasion.
