Parra Citizen’s Forum Association has organised a star and carol singing contest on December 23. The star contest is for Calangute and Siolim constituency while carol singing contest is on State level, stated Minister of Ports Michael Lobo in the presence of sarpanch Delilah Lobo and others. The contests will be held at Jackniwada Parra tinto, and there’s no entry fee for both the contests. The registration for the star contest will be on December 23 between 10 am to 4 pm and for the carol singing contest the registration will close by December 22. The carol singing group should have a minimum of 10 singers. There are cash prizes, memento and certificates for the winners. The winners of the carol singing contest will get Rs 15,000 to Rs 5,000 cash with certificate and memento, while the star contest winners will get Rs 20,000 to Rs 5,000 cash, trophy and certificate.
