In view of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Library and Information Centre of Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao organised a quiz competition for its teaching and non-teaching staff on the occasion of 73rd Republic Day of India.
The competition was conducted in two rounds and 8 participants qualified for the final round held on January 25.
Subhash Kamalkar, asst professor from the Department of English and Dr Purushottam A Verlekar, asst professor from the Department of Geology emerged victorious while the second place was secured by Anurika Aswekar and Archana A Pednekar, assistant professors from the Department of History. Pooja Bidye, asst professor from the Department of Computer Science and Vassanti R Morudkar, asst professor from the Department of Commerce [PG] came third.
Jayesh Mayekar, asst professor, Commerce Department was the score recorder while Varada Vaman Jog was the quiz master with technical support provided by Prachi Kudaskar. The winners and participants were awarded prizes and certificates at the hands of the Principal, Prof D B Arolkar.
