Another accident was reported on the Baina Flyover after a Swift car tilted, leaving the driver and a dog travelling inside with minor injuries. The driver was shifted to Chicalim Hospital for treatment.
The car sustained damage, including to its windshield and rear-view mirror. Police reached the spot and initiated further action.
The incident comes after a fatal accident on the same flyover in October, when speeding is suspected to have caused a crash that claimed the lives of motorcycle rider Shirshill Talwar (29) of Mangor-Hill and pillion rider Suvarna Koppal (25) of Baina.
Vasco PI Vaibhav Naik said Talwar lost control of his Pulsar while negotiating a sharp turn towards Baina. Both riders fell around 30 feet off the flyover and died on the spot due to severe head injuries.
