"Ajeeb Goa’s Gajab Politics”, a book on Goa elections with a Perspective would be released on January 3 in Panaji on the occasion of 191st birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule. The 364-page book, written by Goan journalist Sandesh Prabhudesai and published by goanews.com, would be released at the hands of Dr Justice Ferdino Rebello, the retired Chief Justice of Allahabad high court. The book release function would be followed by a panel discussion. Besides Dr Justice Rebello the panel would consist of Dr Peter Ronald deSouza, the D D Kosambi visiting professor of Goa University, Adv Cleofato Almeida Coutinho, political analyst and Sandesh Prabhudesai, the author. Kishor Naik Gaonkar, editor of Goan Varta Live would moderate. This the first English book penned down on Goa elections. It not only covers a rundown of Goa elections from 1963 to 2017 but also digs into the history of Goa right from the creation of the Konkan coast 12000 BCE. The release function would be held on Monday, January 3 at Sanskruti Bhavan, Central Library building, Patto Plaza in Panaji at 4.30 pm.
