Director of Fire and Emergency Services Nitin Raiker on Friday honoured Driver Operator Hanumant Mapari on his superannuation after nearly 39 years of service in the department. Mapari joined the Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services on September 22, 1983 and successfully completed the elementary course in General Fire Fighting. “He worked at various fire stations and has exhibited keen interest in executing difficult tasks in the operational field. He was awarded Commendatory Note on three occasions in appreciation of his good discipline and general behaviour,” stated a press note issued by Neelesh Fernandes, Station Fire Officer, Communication Section at the Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services.
