Master Zibane Paes and Master Chinar Kharangate of the Goa Medical College, Bambolim won the first Prize at the Inter Collegiate State level Quiz Competition Organised by the Department Of Information and Publicity on the Theme ‘Goa through the Ages ‘(1961-2020) as a part of the 60th year of Goa's Liberation held at IMB hall, Panjim on Tuesday.
Present on the occasion were Information Officer Prakash Naik, Assistant Information Officer Shyam Gaonkar and Quiz Master Naguesh Sardesai. Speaking as a Chief Guest Information Officer Prakash Naik informed about the various taluka level programmes organised by the Department of information and Publicity to mark the diamond jubilee year of Goa's liberation.
The Chief Guest later distributed the prizes to the winner of Quiz Competition VM Salgaonkar College of Law, Miramar won the 2nd prize, Dhempe College Of Arts and Science, Panjim bagged the 3rd Prize and Government college of Arts, Science and Commerce Sankhali and Vidya Prabodhini College of Commerce Porvorim won the fourth & fifth prize respectively.
Prizes to the winners of the District level Painting Competition organised by the Department of Information and Publicity for students held at Ravindra Bhavan Sankhali and Ravindra Bhavan Margao were also distributed on the occasion. A total 356 students participated in the competition.
