The Goa Mediation and Reconciliation Centre (GMRC) will be launched in Altinho-Panaji at Nirmala Institute of Education on February 4 at 3.30 pm and at Raia at Pedro Arrupe Institute on February 5 at 3.30 pm. GMRC aims to encourage parties to address their problems in a self-determined, voluntary and confidential space through the practice of mediation which is an effective solution for those seeking to preserve relationships, solve problems quickly and avoid costly litigation, states a press note. Parties will get a chance to legally resolve and settle family disputes - land, property, marital, inheritance, severance, etc. without going to court and making it public. The inaugurations will follow with talks, discussion, live simulations, and a presentation on how GMRC will serve Goans in legally setting family disputes out of court.
