Goa College of Art paid rich tributes to their Ex-Principal Padma Bhushan Laxman Pai. The condolence meeting was held in the conference hall of the college. A three-minute silence was observed as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
Principal Rajeev Shinde in his address said that Sir Laxman Pai, as principal of Goa College of Art, set a high standard for art education in Goa, on par with international standards. He also mentioned that Pai was instrumental in giving the college its own premises, a cluster of buildings on a sprawling campus at Altinho, Panaji.
The teaching faculty, students and administrative staff were also present on the occasion.
