Mapusa Police arrested a 37-year-old man for allegedly sexually assaulting his daughter over a period of four years. The woman, who is now 19-years-old, told the police that her father began to sexually assault her when she was a minor and issued threats both to her and her mother. According to police, the alleged accused began to sexually abuse his daughter for lust, since 2017. Police also stated that the accused also abused the victim’s mother with filthy words and assaulted both the daughter and her mother with slaps, kicks, fist blows causing them injuries.Police registered an offence under section 354, 376, 504, 323, 506 (ii) of the IPC and section 8 of Goa Children’s Act, section 4, 8 and 12 of POCSO against the accused. Mapusa Police are investigating further.
