A mega health camp organised at the Murgao High School, Sada, received an overwhelming response, as over 1,200 patients registered for free medical services. The camp, inaugurated by Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar, featured 18 medical departments, including dental, dermatology, surgery, gynaecology, paediatrics, and more. The event was attended by Goa Medical College Dean Dr Shivanand Bandekar along with senior health department officials.
The initiative, spearheaded by Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane, aimed to bring quality medical services closer to the people.
Although Rane could not attend due to an unforeseen event, he addressed the gathering via MLA Sankalp Amonkar’s phone, reassuring locals of full government support for healthcare development. He pledged to establish a 20-bedded hospital and a dialysis centre at Sada, assuring that Mormugao would witness significant progress in healthcare and urban development in the coming days.
