MLA Vijai Sardesai has criticized the Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho for allegedly favoring GoaMiles, an app-based taxi service, over other taxi operators. Sardesai pointed out that GoaMiles claims to have an all-India license, which is the same type of license held by other taxis. He questioned why, despite this, GoaMiles is allowed to have a counter at the Mopa airport, suggesting that the Transport Minister is being unfair by supporting only GoaMiles. Sardesai also expressed concerns about GoaMiles' plans to include Goan drivers under their app through a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative. He questioned the authority of GoaMiles to take such actions, rhetorically asking if they were acting on behalf of major corporations like the Ambanis.
