PANAJITo observe the ongoing Pride Month, Bookworm Goa is organising project 'Quilting Pride' at Bookworm Goa premises on 9, 10, 13 and 16 of June from 2pm to 3pm. In this project, 16 mini quilts inspired by the flags of different identities under the LGBTQ+ umbrella will be handmade by volunteers. The celebration of Pride Month is all about acceptance, equality, and celebrating the work of LGBTQ+ people. It also calls for people to remember how damaging homophobia is and how innately we are all simply human. While creating the quilts, there will also be a conversation about the history and relevance of Pride Month, and know a little more about all the different identities whose flags we are being made.
