PANAJISankrit Bal Kendra started by Sanskrit Bharati will be conducting Sanskrit classes free of charge on every Thursday between 4-5 pm in Panaji. The classes will be conducted at Vidyadhiraj hall near Shree Mahalaxmi temple from June 23. Children in the age group between 7-14 will be offered admissions in the class. They will be trained in shloka, subhashit, stories, songs, sports and conversational skills in Sanskrit, and to teach these subjects to children, trained teachers are being appointed. The Sanskrit Bharati organisation has been spreading the awareness on learning Sanskrit language and conversational skills in it for the last 41 years. The organisation has started such Sanskrit classes in Goa for the first time. Fatima HS student awarded Francis memorial Award
PANAJISaachi Sumir Kerkar, student of Fatima HS, Margao scored 555 marks and secured first rank at her school in the SSC examinations. Saachi scored 99 marks in Social Science. She received the Eng Francis Bomdin Lopes memorial Award of Rs 10,000 with citation.
